The Spitfire Strategies Smart Chart Approach Workshop

In line with PNGOC’s commitment to build the capacities of NGOs engaged in the advocacy for RH, Gender and PopDev issues under the UNFPA 6th Country Programme, a workshop on Developing a Strategic Communications Plan: The Spitfire Strategies SmartChart Approach, will be held on October 4 and 5, 2006 at The Traders Hotel. Said workshop will be conducted in partnership with Health Action Information Network (HAIN). 25 participants from various NGOs are expected to attend.

The Smart Chart Approach was developed by Spitfire Communications, a communications consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. (http://www.spitfirestrategies.com/). This workshop is being conducted in the United States, Mexico and Europe with good success. They are also promoting this similar workshop to reproductive health and rights leaders in other developing nations such as India, Pakistan, Ethiopia and Nigeria. The aim of this workshop is to build the capacity of organizations to plan for and use strategic communications to advance its program goals.
